We are a family owned and operated business located in Soddy-Daisy, Tennessee.  Soddy-Daisy is located north of Chattanooga, Tennessee and is about a 20 minute drive.

Sylvia Freeman is the owner of Calico Florist and Gifts Shoppe, however back in 1978 with the influence of our dad, J. C. Freeman, she opened a

 CALICO FLORIST AND GIFTS
              “For the Perrrfect Arrangement & Gift for You”

                                                                                            

With a lot of talk Rick Freeman finally convinced our dad that he could design and operate a new flower business in Soddy Daisy.  Rick opened the Calico Florist and Gift Shoppe May of 1984.  Rick has extraordinary talent that talent escalates with each design.  In the past, Rick was also President of the Chattanooga Professional Florist Association. 
Rick is co-owner and head designer.

With the help of another sister, Janice Freeman, Calico Florist and Gift Shoppe developed and started selling the Calico Cuddlers.  These Calico Cuddlers assist with floral deliveries.  If a floral arrangement tips over during travel, this will cost time and money, therefore the Calico Cuddlers are “worth their weight”.

As if Calico Florist and Gift Shoppe didn’t have enough going on, Rick opened the line of tuxedo rental through MARSHALL’S.  

Calico Florist and Gift Shoppe has progressed from opening up in a living room of a mobile home to a beautiful showroom of 1800 sq ft.  Calico Florist and Gift Shoppe was dedicated to God and He has honored the business and our personal family lives as well.

hairdresser beauty shop under the name of Calico.  Sylvia graduated from Soddy-Daisy High School in 1964 and received her cosmetology license in 1964.  Sylvia has been a very prominent businesswoman in Soddy-Daisy for the past 30 plus years.
